Our screening comes from the Australian Wood Industries (AWI) range and is supplied pre-oiled, so it arrives protected and ready to install.

Individual hardwood battens for custom screens, fences and facades, in lengths from 1.8 to 3.6 m in 300 mm increments. Pre-oiled with Intergrain Universal® or CUTEK®.

Pre-oiled screening

Order your screening factory pre-oiled by Australian Wood Industries (AWI) and it arrives on site protected and ready to install, with no oiling on site. Pre-oiling brings out the timber's natural look and protects it from the inside out.

All-round protection from UV and moisture
Helps stabilise the timber, minimising warping, cupping and splitting
Delivered ready to install, saving time and labour on site
Locks in tannins, reducing tannin bleed and top-coat preparation
Compatible with any top coat: water-based, oil-based or stain

Finishes

CUTEK®

A penetrating oil with a 30-year track record in harsh Australian conditions. It soaks deep into the timber and drives moisture out from the inside, and it fades over time rather than flaking or peeling. Maintenance is a simple clean and recoat, with no sanding or stripping. Intergrain Universal®

A penetrating, clear, oil-based timber oil that won't flake, blister or peel and helps prevent warping, cupping and splitting. It can be tinted with Intergrain Colour Additive, or left to weather gradually to a natural grey. About Intergrain (opens in a new tab) ↗

Single battens and Merbau panels are pre-oiled with Intergrain Universal® or CUTEK®. Dulux Weathershield® is used only on our prefabricated treated pine screen panels.
